Since the 1960s, I have made 53 documentaries for television and cinema. Filming has been my way of reacting to what is going on around us. I have roamed the world with my camera...

The socialistic student movement in Germany, 1968. Swedish title: "Om det socialistiska tyska studentförbundet SDS".


  The Greek resistance against the dictatorship, 1968, 25 minutes. Swedish title: "Motståndet i Grekland".


Ormgard, 1968, 15 minutes. Swedish title: "Ormgard". Drawings by Matheo Yamalakis, story by E. M. Nilsson. Award by the Swedish Film Institute.


The Eastern Mediterranean - a new conflict area, 1968, 25 minutes. Swedish title: "Östra Medelhavet - ett nytt konfliktområde".


Fascism is alive, 1968, 25 minutes. Swedish title: "Lever fascismen?".


They came from Greece, 1969, 30 minutes. Swedish title: "De kom från Grekland".


  The Greek Secret Police in Sweden, 1969, 20 minutes. Swedish title: "NU - den grekiska hemliga polisens verksamhet i Sverige".


  The USA in May 69, 1969, 45 minutes. Swedish title: "USA i maj 69".


  Student 69 in the USA, 1969, 45 minutes. Swedish title: "Student 69 i USA".


401, 1969, 21 minutes. Swedish title: "401". A film about the torture of resistence activists in Greek military hospitals. My final project in the production school of the Swedish Radio SR. The film was awarded by the Swedish Film Institute. And I lost my Greek passport.


Inquiry in Havana, 1971, 90 minutes (theatre) + 60 minutes (discussion). Swedish title: "Förhöret i Havanna". Open theater in Stockholm/Vällingby, 10 years after the CIA's unsuccessful invasion on the Bay of Pigs on Cuba.


  Immigration in Europe, 1971, 50 minutes. Swedish title: "Immigration i Europa".


Letter from Greece, 1972, 45 minutes. Swedish title: "Brev från Grekland".


  Kostas and Maria, 1972, 11 minutes. Swedish title: "Kostas". A childrens movie from Crete.


The Journey, 1973, 60 minutes. Swedish title: "Resan". A journey to Athens, Lebanon, Israel, and Crete.


  Didje and Michael, 1973, 15 minutes. Swedish title: "Didje och Michel". A love story.


  Old man in France, 1974, 11 minutes. Swedish title: "Gammal i Frankrike". The shoemaker Maurice and his wife in Paris.


  Alberto from Sicily, 1974, 10 minutes. Swedish title: "Alberto från Sicilien". Foreign workers in Europe: Switzerland.


  Old man in Greece, 1974, 10 minutes. Swedish title: "Gammal i Grekland". The farmer Giannis.


  Ali from Turkey, 1974, 10 minutes. Swedish title: "Ali från Turkiet". Foreign workers in Europe: Germany.


  Abdalla from Algeria, 1974, 10 minutes. Swedish title: "Abdalla från Algeriet". Foreign workers in Europe: France.


My years in Sweden, 1974, 41 minutes. Swedish title: "Mina år i Sverige". An immigrant's view on Sweden.


It is nice to be privileged, 1975, 56 minutes. Swedish title: "Det är skönt med privilegier". Five stories from Mexico. Awarded by the Swedish Film Institute.


Morgonbrevet, 1975, 10 minutes. Greek version without subtitles.


  Socialistic man on Cuba, 1975, 40 minutes. Swedish title: "Den socialistiska människan på Kuba".


  On a little Greek Island, 1978, 56 minutes. Swedish title: "På en liten grekisk ö". A film about the island Ios.


You said Paris? You mean Paris!, 1979, 75 minutes. Swedish title: "Sa du Paris? Du menar väl Paris!".


Venedig på glid (Venice on the skids), 1980, 73 minutes. Awarded by the Swedish Film Institute in 1981.


In Athens, 1982, 86 minutes. Swedish title: "I Aten". Stories from Athens. Greek version without subtitles.


Love. Crete in August., 1985, 74 minutes. Swedish title: "Agapi - Kärlek. Kreta i augusti".


  Dimitra's Island in Spring, 1985, 20 minutes. Swedish title: "Dimitras ö - på våren".

  Jannis the street sweeper in Chania, Crete, 1986, 16 minutes. Swedish title: "Jannis sophämtare i Chania, Kreta".


  Our mother is a dentist, 1986, 15 minutes. Swedish title: "Vår mamma är tandläkare".

  Mediterranean Music with Ross Daily, 1986, 15 minutes. Swedish title: "Medelhavets musik med Ross Daily".


Summerplay, 1989, 25 minutes. Swedish title: "Sommarspel".


The last night with Elektra, 1991, 50 minutes. Swedish title: "Sista natten med Elektra". A story about an airplane.

The Island and the naked swimmer, 1993, 45 minutes. Swedish title: "Ön och den nakne simmaren". Stories from Agathonisi.


All the Afternoons, 1996, 52 minutes. Swedish title: "All the Afternoons". The second film about the naked swimmer.

Seven days in Schwetzingen, 2008, 65 minutes. German title: "Sieben Tage in Schwetzingen". A film about a small German town. German version, without subtitles.


Presentation of The Monologue of the Mirror, 2017, 26 minutes. Swedish title: "Presentation av Spegelns Monolog". A film about the presentation of my book: The Monologue of the Mirror.
